I’m having a peculiar problem with the free version of Sublime Merge on macOS. When I startup Sublime Merge it asks me to update from my current build (1107). It begins by asking me to download the new version of Sublime Merge, then asks me to install the new version, then my MacBook prompts me to enter my computer password to allow the install, and the whole process repeats after this point. Is there anything I can do to move past this loop, or should I just reinstall Sublime Merge? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I would reinstall. Something is preventing your machine from moving the old Sublime Merge out of the way before putting the new one in place. All of your settings will be preserved since they are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Merge/.
