Sublime install directory safe area

I keep an ico of Frank Rausch’s wonderful Sublime Text icon in the install directory, so that after an update I can easily change the icon back using resource hacker. The install directory Program Files\Sublime Text 3\ seems to clear itself of all foreign items every update. Is there a place where I can put this icon and it won’t get deleted every update?

Keep a copy in your documents/home folder somewhere?

If I had files specific to Sublime that I wanted to keep handy, I would put them in my User package, or some folder under it. That’s something that is unlikely to get clobbered away by an update or reinstall (to the detriment of those that habitually reinstall software to reset it) but is still in a location that is clearly Sublime-like.
