Sublime Freezes When Opening a Folder with 600k files

#1

I have a folder with 600k text files. When I open it with Sublime Text, it beachballs. I tried twice and quit after 10 minutes.

System specs: MacBook Air running macOS Catalina on a 2.2Ghz Dual-core i7 with 8GB of 1600 Mhz DDR3 Ram with a 500GB Apple SSD using APFS.

Are there any plans to support this kind of use case?

Can you check if the same problem persists if you set index_files as false in your Preferences.sublime-settings - User ?

@UltraInstinct05 I am trying that now. After 1 minute it is still loading but so far no beachball, which is an improvement. Will report back when it finishes.
