Sublime crashes if you create a new user

I have a fairly basic use case I think, I have a couple different system user accounts and made a new one recently - when I tried to re-download it, it crashes when the newly created user launches the app.

Any help is appreciated!

I think it will be completely useless to try this, but it should not hurt to try it out.

Can you try login into your newly created account and:

  1. Try reverting to a clean state: https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/revert.html, and test if it still crashing when the user launches the app?
  2. Reinstall Sublime Text while logged into the new account, and test if it still crashing when the user launches the app?
  3. Try to install some older build of Sublime Text as build 3143 https://www.sublimetext.com/3
  4. (If you have a license) Try to install some development build of Sublime Text as build 3184 https://www.sublimetext.com/3dev

related, although at the time it was reported, it only seemed a problem on Windows:

In Sublime Merge, I’ve experience a similar issue (never tried with ST) that may or may not be what you are experiencing: https://github.com/sublimehq/sublime_merge/issues/332#issuecomment-450292193 (related specifically to having created a new user)
