The installer does not normally delete itself.
I would check your antivirus program and see if it is doing that.

You are correct.
Symantec Endpoint Protection is identifying with a risk of WS.Reputation.1.
However, I am able to run the 3143 installer with no problem.
Have you applied for 3.1 to be whitelisted by Symantec?

The idea that we will find every antivirus vendor and apply for whitelisting for every single one of our releases is not possible. I would either whitelist it yourself, or ask your computer administrator to do so.
My hunch is that as your antivirus vendor sees more installs, it will whitelist it (hence the “Reputation” tag).
