Is it possible to add an additional status bar on the bottom that can be used for dedicated notifications.

That gets pretty crowded. I’d like to see a dedicated bar for Git for example.
That would be a lot easier to quickly see what’s going on and wouldn’t be so cryptic.

The status bar in general should probably be reworked. Some means of notification like a quick flash of color on a new update or a notification balloon would be nice. Also, as you suggested, independent segments in the status bar, or independent status bars instead of one long concatenated list.
