ST4: new file confirmation setting?

Switching from ST3 to ST4, I find it incredibly annoying that when I create a new file, the editor takes me to a blank screen, forcing me to then click CTRL + S to save. (i know, first-world problems).

Is there a setting/preference to revert this option to ST3 behavior?

How do you create a new file? I can’t see a difference between ST 3 and 4 with ctrl+n and in my memory ctrl+s is always required to save a new file.

Hey - it’s a subtle change:

ST3:

  1. Press CMD + N
  2. the cursor jumps to the bottom, and I can immediately enter the filename

ST4:

  1. Press CMD + N
  2. A new tab opens up
    3 I then have to press CMD + S
  3. the cursor jumps to the bottom, and I can immediately enter the filename

I can’t reproduce that behavior you described for ST 3211 clean portable, which is probably done via a plugin? such as FileManager.
