Just switched to KDE Plasma here (Fedora 43) from Windows, and noticed the menus in ST4 don’t allow for “click, drag, then release to choose” interactions, and wondering if that’s know/expected behavior. In detail, if you:
- click down but don’t release on a top level menu (e.g. “Goto” menu)
- drag down to the item you want
- release to run the item selected
…the menu item isn’t actually run (the menu just dismisses). You have to:
- click and release the top level menu
- move to the item you want
- click and release to run the menu item
The same goes for sub-menus. Main menus in other apps (e.g. the built-in default file manager Dolphin) don’t work this way (e.g. both of the above interaction styles work), as does Windows. It’s a bit of a drag having to click so much, and definitely doesn’t feel “correct”.
