ST4: Cycling through tabs using Ctrl+PgUp/PgDown does not work as it used to in ST3

In ST4, when cycling though tabs using Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDown, it remembers all tabs I went through, however, in ST3, it remembered only those tabs on which I released the keyboard shortcut. By remembering a tab I mean that when I later cycle through the tabs using Ctrl+Tab (in the most recently used order), it go through the open files in the order or remembrance.

Example: I have open four tabs: tab1, tab2, tab3, tab4.

  1. Initially, I am on tab1.
  2. I press and hold Ctrl and press twice PgDown to select tab3.
  3. When I press Ctrl+Tab:
    • in ST3: it opens tab1;
    • in ST4: it opens tab2, because it remembers all tabs between the first (previous) tab and the last (current) tab.

The behaviour is the same in the safe mode too.

I have no idea if this is a feature or bug, but this bugs me very much. Is there an option to restore the previous (ST3) behaviour?
