Hi everybody!
To add to the list of hilarious, tiny trivialities that drive people nuts here’s my trouble with ST4’s changed autocomplete behaviour. Perhaps one of you kind souls can help me:
In ST3, autocomplete in several languages I use (PHP, JS, …) would add a semicolon to the end of the autocompleted function upon hitting [tab] or [enter].
In ST4, this no longer works. I have to type every semicolon myself. Trivial though this may sound, the semicolon is a rather painful key combo on my (non QWERTY) keyboard layout, plus the hassle of moving from within a completed function to the end of the line. Painful enough to have me revert to ST3 several times since ST4 came out.
As this change in behaviour happens across many different languages, I suspect it has nothing to do with the language specific packages.
Is there any way I can fix this behaviour myself via a specific setting? I have tried to google this problem, and have attempted to find a package that fixes it, but so far nothing useful has come up. The packages extant to “fix” this add more complicated (alt-ctrl-shift-[;]) shortcuts to achieve what ST3 already did out of the box.
Thanks for your input!
