ST3 uses different theme for different files

I installed a couple of custom themes a while back … one is light coloured and one dark coloured - I switched from the light to the dark coloured template but some files when opened remain with the light colour scheme … is there something I am missing here? How do I get all files to use the selected colour scheme?

Check other locations where you can specify settings, for example “Preferences > Settings - More > Syntax-specific - User”.
