ST3 menu sometimes not working in Ubuntu

hello,

Sometimes the menu from Sublimetext suddenly stops working (disappears). Normally it shows the file path in the window, and the menu once I hover over it with the mouse.

I am using ST3 Build 3176 on Ubuntu 16.04.4 64b Desktop version.

When I “un-maximize” the window (how to name it?!, the window is not minimized nor maximized, it’s the active window yet does not cover the entire desktop area) the filepath still shows in the window, but it never shows the menu.

I can close ST and start it again to behave normally again.

I couldn’t find this problem mentioned anywhere, is this a known issue? Note that the menu is NOT unresponsive.

Is there a fix for it?

on Windows, this action is called “restore”.

have you tried opening the command palette and selecting View: Toggle Menu?

No, I didn’t.

Can’t test it now. I’ll try this once it happens again.

I started working in Linux recently. Still struggling finding the right terms for everything :smiley:

hi, it just happened again.

Opening the command palette and selecting View: Toggle Menu fixed the problem. Still don’t know what is causing the issue.
