When saving a new .html file, ST2 automatically encodes it as UTF-8; great. When saving an already existing .html file, it keeps in in the current UTF-8 encoding; great.
When saving a new file in ST3, the .html file has no encoding, and does something to currently encoded UTF-8 .html files when I save regardless of whether I made changes that makes them break on the server [only on one project that uses some XML utf-8 encoding].
The default settings are unchanged and appears that ST3 should still be handling it the way ST2 does, but it’s not. I’m currently using ST2 again because it doesn’t have this bug.
If it helps, I’m using the registered portable versions of ST2 & 3, 64-bit. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
If this has already been addressed (I didn’t find my specific problem posted), please include the correct thread. Thanks!
