I tried to find answers to this problem all over the internet, but nothing seems to solve the problem that I have, even though i see people have the same symptom. So I’m creating this new thread here.
I’m using ST3 on windows 7, and i’m working on files from a mapped network drive. It was all working fine until recently, every now and then, doing a file save takes soooooo long to finish. It does save the file eventually, but during the wait time, the UI is frozen, the drive itself is not accessible (not even in file browser in windows or any other text editor), feels like because ST is trying to write to the drive, the drive itself is completely taken offline.
I tried to revert ST3 to a fresh install state, and the problem remains. And i’m sure there’s nothing wrong with my network connection. If I use any other text editor, everything is fine. As soon as I hit save in ST3, ST3 freezes, together with the drive. When it does recover, I see many .tmp files are written in the file’s directory. I also tried to disable the atomic save mode, still same thing.
I really like Sublime, don’t want to give it up for this, what should I try?
