ST3 and Dash snippets

#1

Dash http://kapeli.com/dash, which I imagine a lot of us on Macs use, has nice feature that allows you to put special characters in snippets to specify where the cursor should be after insertion, where the current clipboard contents should be inserted, etc:

In ST3, if I insert a snippet like this at column 1, all is fine. But if I insert it anywhere else, the position of @cursor is treated as if counted from column 1, and the character at that position is deleted.

I haven’t had ST2 installed for awhile, but I’m pretty sure this issue did not exist in ST2

ps. I contacted the Dash developer about this, but he had no idea how to fix the issue, since it’s peculiar to ST3

thanks,
Robert

Sad to see, that there has been little response to that post, probably meaning it isn’t important to many. I’d love to see this as well. Dash is awesome and could provide snippets systemwide. Though, ST3 doesn’t seem to support macOS Accessibility in a way it could work with Dash.

I don’t know what would have to be done for that, but it would help other apps like Dash as well for working with ST on macOS.

So 4 years later, I revive the zombie and maybe more people would appreciate it in 2018
