ST for Markdown only

#1

Hello,

I’m considering on using sublime to edit and manage my collection of markdown documents, but I was wondering if using ST only for this would be overkill or not. Would I be missing out on features by only editing Markdown?

Thx

What would you do exactly? Maybe try something like obsidian.md?

I’m keeping my technical analysis docs in MD format. I would change or create new ones with every project. Sublime is very good on dealing with Markdown.

For a decent overview I would use a SSG.

Your use case is your use case. If you use ST at all I imagine you’ll find other places it can help you tackle interesting problems.

well I went the other way, having used ST for simple technical tasks since ST1 (the macro and replace functions are tremendously useful to me).

I spent a lot of money on a variety of MD apps, Marked is a tremendous display tool! but now do the majority of my MD writing in ST.

I wish I’d spent more time learning some of the more complex ST functions, butI prefer to invest time in learning one power tool than many
