ST crashes on startup

#1

Sublime crashes with a crash dump file in the Program directory. This is on Windows Server 2008 R2.

Here is how I got here:

  1. Installed ST 2.0.2 trial (it worked, I love it)
  2. bought license
  3. installed ST 3 x64 --> SublimeText crashes on start up with dump file
  4. uninstalled ST3 x64
  5. installed ST3 x86 --> SublimeText crashes on start up with dump file
  6. uninstalled ST3 x86
  7. installed ST2 --> SublimeText crashes on start up with dump file
  8. unstalled ST2
  9. remove all Sublime directories under Program Files and Program Files (x86)
  10. remove all Sublime directories from C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\
  11. install ST3 x64 --> SublimeText crashes on start up with dump file

all installations were done using the installer exe not the portable version, and the installer ran without error.

What do I do next to get Sublime running again?

Based on the virtual memory access violation in the crash dump summary - a reboot seemed to be not an unreasonable course of action. And, in fact, after rebooting the machine Sublime starts just fine.
