ST always try open an old file

Hi, I have this problem:
every time I open a file (any type of file) Sublime Text opens also an old file.
The old file does not even exist anymore so all it opens is an empty file called as the old one.

This is very annoying because I have to close it every time I open a new file.

I think that it’s the first file I ever created with Sublime Text, but I have no proof.

Hi, I'm using sublime text 2 on ubuntu 12.10. Every time I open anything in ST, two other files always open in 2 separate tabs. (It's always the same 2 files) I've tried looking around but can't figure out how to disable this. Thanks

Hello all. I am looking for some help with the first truly frustrating experience I am having with Sublime Text 3. I happily purchased a key for Sublime Text 3 after using it for a month or two. I am currently using it on 3 different computers (all run Ubuntu 15.10) and on 2 of the 3 everything works fine. I have no desktop shurtcuts, but I had the software locked on the launcher. I have unloked it but the issue persists, maybe I have to reset some settings?

I just noticed that the natsy old file path appears if I hover the mouse over the ST icon:

(Plot.C is the file that is always opened)

yes, it looks like the same Unity issue then - I mentioned desktop “shortcut” because I don’t really know the name for it - “launcher” might be more accurate.

What’s the result of cat ~/.local/share/applications/sublime_text.desktop?

hmm, maybe do a search for sublime_text.desktop then, to find it
