I’ve been wondering if it’d be an “interesting” idea for SublimeText to let users sponsors features or bug fixes we care about. For instance, putting 100$ in bitcoins or whatever on github issues. I don’t know if it’s technically possible, or if you (implementers) would care about that. We don’t really know what you guys are most interested in.
I think I remember seeing open source projects trying that route, but it always seemed more or less successful. I’d guess because most users don’t really want to spend enough to warrant the trouble. Maybe it’s just not an rewards-mechanism that align with what implementers want to spend their time on.
Anyway, I’ve paid for SublimeText 3 years ago, and now that I’m making decent money, I kind of feel like I would want to spend on bits of polish if it were possible.
