I have installed a dictionary for my language (danish) and made sure that it is saved as UTF-8.
Yet spellchecking does not work correct.
Only words in there most simple form are recognized as correctly spelled. As soon as there is a plural ending or the word is inflected (I think it is called) the word is marked as misspelled.
Same thing goes for any word containgen one of the special danish vocals.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
It’s working fine here. Note that ST4 supports any encoding for the dictionary; simply saving the dictionary using UTF-8 without changing the configuration inside of it to UTF-8 as well will cause invalid behavior.
This gives some hope. Can you attach or provide a link to the dictionary that you use?

I just installed danish support on ubuntu, so whatever dictionary they ship. Using whatever dictionary you have should work as long as the file encoding matches the header in the file, so either reverting to the original encoding or changing the header to UTF-8 should fix it.
