I’m using the hunspell system to give spell checking capability for ST3. In my user preferences I specify this dictionary "dictionary": "Packages/Language - English/en_GB.dic", which is pretty good.
But I have a few annoyances with it – does anyone else have these issues, or know of workarounds?
- I can select a highlighted word and ‘ignore’ it, which works for that file. But it doesn’t seem to work for other files, nor over that same file after re-starting ST3.
- It can’t seem to add a word to the dictionary.
- I’m using (multi)markdown for writing papers which need to include footnotes. So I get text like “… end of sentence.^fn05]”, and the word ‘sentence.^fn05]’ gets highlighted as being a spelling error. Which of course it is, but if could be smarter about punctuation marking word boundaries, this wouldn’t happen.
