Spell check not working in ST-4

In ST-3 I get a wavy red line under misspelled words when spell check is enabled. I am not getting this in ST-4

Is it broken Globally or only in the current line? In case of the latter it could be this issue if you have line highlighting enabled.

Does it work in safe mode?

Thanks for the reference. It was the line highlighting that was causing the problem.
