I’m on a fresh copy of 18.10 and I just can’t get Sublime to load. It’s the first application I attempt to install (through terminal and software center) and while it says it’s installed, when I go to launch Sublime all I get is a spinning cursor and an activities tab that disappears and then nothing.
Machine is a Dell 7737.

I ran sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-0 and it worked.
18.04 didn’t have this issue out of the box.
I also had this same issue.
Maybe we could update the Sublime 3 Linux installation guide to include “sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0”?

In the latest dev series, Sublime has moved from gtk2 to gtk3. If more recent distros only install gtk3 by default, then this problem should probably go away at the next stable release, I think?
