SM Build 1098: possible to get old preferences in addtion?

Hi there,
the latest SM build introduced the “New Preferences Dialog”. It looks nice and works fine. But I miss the possibility to change some preferences without using the mouse and click around. I liked the old implementation, too so my question: Is it possible to bring it back (in addition to the new menu which many people might prefer).

[Opening the config file in ST as ST itself does would be nice, too. But I guess this would not work fine for non-ST SM users. (edit: see replies below)]

Ouh, you are absolutely right, my fault. I was thinking of the split screen view with defaults on the left as offered in ST.

No one else missing mouseless preferences?

I miss them too, but I like the dialog idea for more novice or visual users. Maybe there is some middle ground: use the original style if using a keyboard shortcut, but open the dialog if selecting a menu item.
