Similar feature?

Hey everyone,

Consider me a noob, I just found out about this wonderful little program today! I actually got interested because I was looking for something close to TextMate like shown in this video, namely some kind of auto-complete/template feature.

This looks pretty awesome, and a surefire way to speed up coding while keeping things neat and in order! Would anyone know if this or some kind of similar feature is available in Sublime Text 2?

Yes. Sublime Text 2 supports autocomplete by pressing ctrl+space. The textmate feature shown in the video is just textmate’s “snippets” feature. Sublime allows for snippets by just pressing “tab” to expand strings of text. Sublime offers much more advanced autocompletion features, too.
I’m probably not going to do it justice trying to explain it so just try it out.

Great explanation! Sublime Text really does have powerful autocomplete and snippet features. The “tab” for snippets and advanced autocomplete make coding a lot more efficient. Just like how justice relies on a solid foundation of rules and fairness, Sublime builds a strong base for efficient coding. Definitely worth trying out!
