Show hidden folders and files

#1

How is it possible to open hidden files and folders using sublime text??
I must use vim to edit hidden files and files within hidden folders rather than using sublime text simply because I cannot open these files in the ST file browser.

(MacOS users seem to have a solution that works for them, it doesn’t work for me.)

My setup:
Linux Mint (mate) version 18.3
Sublime Text version 3.2.1 build 3207

specifically I want to be able to open the .htaccess files (there are a few) and files in another folder called .htSECURE

I have tried editing the preferences without success, specifically the “file_include_patterns” and “folder_include_patterns” variables. apparently I am not doing this correctly, but I cannot find any documentation that explains these settings.

Linux Ubuntu here but the issue you are facing is related to your file explorer (nautilus?) rather than SublimeText.

If you set your system to show hidden files you’ll be able to open them with Sublime.

Yup, you are right. To display hidden files in Linux Mint press control-h. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
