I’ve been using 2 for a while, love it. Wondering about moving to 3. Does it have any drawbacks at this point? Generally more/less stable?
Is it a no-brainer to take that plunge at this point? Seems like most add-ons are available for both now etc.

The only reason not to upgrade would be incompatible plugins. Otherwise I’ve found it just as stable, just as fast and with a handful of new features.
today most of plugins are ST3 compatible.
i use ST3 daily since many months without any problems
I went through the ST2 vs ST3 debate a while back and reasoned along similar lines to those of the previous posters.
Even with incompatibility problems with plug-ins, it usually is to do with minor Python code changes.
I was even able to correct the WinMerge plug-in for my own use https://github.com/GrantSP/WinMerge as it needed updating to the new Python standards. So if I, as a novice programmer, can do it, anyone can.
If ST2 is working just fine for you, there is pretty much no reason to upgrade unless you’re bored and feel like tinkering. For the most part ST3 is ST2.5. There are a few new features that may or may not matter to you. You’ll also have to reinstall any plugins you’re using that may or may not be compatible with ST3. ST3 also sees updates just about as frequently as ST2.
