Setting to disable touch bar support in 2016/2017 Macbook Pro

#1

The touch bar in 2016 and 2017 Macbook Pros does not have a haptic engine and cannot distinguish between accidental and intentional touches. Those of us that are poor typists struggle with interruption of work-flow caused by the touch bar and have figured out ways of mitigating the distraction (disabling the Siri button for example). Putting tab buttons in the touch bar may be useful for some, but for me it means that I change to a random tab every time my pinkie grazes the touch bar.

Please put in a setting so that touch bar support can be completely disabled.

Thanks! I was looking for this but was searching for ‘touch’ not ‘Touch’.
