Selection highlight in UI not working

Hi,

for some time on my Linux (Arch)/Gnome install (currently with build 4129) the selection hightlight is not working reliably anymore, which is a major showstopper for me. File selection in the sidebar for example, but also line selection in pop ups like for autocompletion. Or text selection itself, only a border is drawn around selected text.

If was using some Solarized schemes for years with the Adaptive theme and thought maybe they aren’t compatible anymore, but now launched Sublime with all settings reset and even with all the builtin stuff this just isn’t working anymore.

As you can imagine this kind of visual feedback is one of the main reasons to use visual editors at all, and to put it mildly I’m freakin out. Together with the strong licence price hike I’m considering to leave Sublime quickly.

Is this a known bug or something wrong in my Gnome settings. Any kind of hint how to fix this?

Does it happen in safe mode? Can you provide a screenshot/video of it happening?

yes the Github issue matches my situation and also the workaround
LC_NUMERIC=C subl works, can live with this until it gets fixed.

FYI as I’m working in Germany I have LC_NUMERIC=de_DE.UTF-8 as default locale setting, but LANG=en_US.UTF-8.
