Select multiple duplicates not working

Hey everyone!

When trying to

1. cmd + d on something,
2. add something else to the selection,
3. cmd + d on that,
   it sporadically fails to do so. Especially when trying to add further different duplicates.
   I’m using ST Build 3207, macOS 10.13.6.

I guess you have to provided a more detailed example. Even better with a video, which usually speaks louder than words, if you are lazy to elaborate.
