I know we were told RTL support won’t happen any time soon in Sublime because of how it would require a rewrite of some text rendering stuff. Now that it seems much of the internals have been re-written with this addition of support for ligatures, is there any chance RTL support is coming soon as well?

Currently the work being done is mostly related to text drawing, not text layout. I don’t think we have anything to announce about RTL support at this time.
