Resizing Sublime window 'over-corrects', multiplying the desired change size

#1

Hi,

I’m using Sublime 4169 on Windows 11 22H2 (22621.2861).

When I resize the window, Sublime appears to ‘over-correct’ and resizes itself further than intended. This is a bit of a difficult one to describe, so here’s an example:

I have noticed this with other applications on Win11, but it seems most prevalent with Sublime, and I’m not really sure how to describe it in order to Google it. It seems like a fairly recent issue, the last couple of months at least.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

If it’s happening in other apps then it’s a problem with your operating system. I’m not having the same problem on Windows 11 here, so it’s specific to your setup.

I think that this behavior might be related to how Sublime interacts with the display settings of Windows 11, particularly if you’ve noticed similar issues with other applications. It could be linked to the scaling settings or the way the graphics drivers are handling window resizing.

I also haven’t seen such effect with any ST build on Win10 or 11 with various kinds, sizes of screens and scaling factors so far.

What I find suspicious are the white unrendered parts of client area, while resizing window. It appears ST doesn’t get informed about resizing happening or related windows messages being blocked.
