[Request] Focus indicator when navigating working directory

#1

When navigating the Working Directory via the keyboard, a file that becomes focused displays a brief, fading boarder indicator.

I find that it’s a little too subtle, and the fact that it quickly fades away makes it, makes me constantly question if I have the correct file focused before performing another action via the keyboard.

This probably has little impact on people that use the mouse, but I like to work with the keyboard as much as possible.

My request is to make it more obvious which file has the focus in the Working Directory. Perhaps a Preference setting to simply enable/disable the fade of the boarder highlight we currently get when the navigating the file list.

Or maybe even easier and more UI consistent, use the same row highlighting as is currently done when the mouse pointer hovers over the row.

Maybe add it to https://github.com/sublimehq/sublime_merge/issues for better tracking?

Will do.

I didn’t realize that this forum wasn’t the place for such things. Looking over most of the posts here on Sublime Merge, I guess a lot of people don’t.

Kind of makes one wonder, “What is the forum for, then?”.

The forum is a good place to ask questions and get help; the issue tracker is better for logging bugs you’ve found or feature requests that you’d like to make. That keeps all of the bugs and features in one place for the developers to have easy access to without the thread getting lost in the forum.
