Replace in all files using REGEX is freezing ST3

Hello,

Before the last update ( before build 3103), I used to replace every non printable characters in all files in order to make the search results visible in find all.

Here is what I used to do:

I then hit replace and it usually replace non printable chars (or any chars if that matters) in all files quickly. It now makes ST3 build 3103 hangs for a VERY long times.

The files are 10 MB in size, last time I tried it, I had 17 files to replace.

Any idea?

I confirm this behaviour on a single 10MB file, the app hangs too

What build were you using before 3103? Was it 3083?

I have no idea, is this information available somewhere? (The upgrade path?)

Do you mean a complete uninstall should correct the problem?

I would guess he wants to know what build broke it, so he can find the change in the ST3 code base that is the root cause :slight_smile:

As far as I know, there is no upgrade history stored anywhere, but I’m no expert :slightly_smiling:
If you are on Windows, there is an installer “bug” that means you can see the version you first installed…

By the way I doubt the fact that my previous version was 3083, I am sure I jumped few versions of st3 before getting build 3103
