I’m trying to switch to a new editor.
The editor must be able to edit files directly on another server over FTP or SSH. Does Sublime support this? I can’t seem to find a definitive yes or no answer.

Yes. There are some plugins for sublime text: packagecontrol.io/search/ftp
BTW, under Windows, using other software to mount a remote directory as a local one can make any editor work but no portability.
