Might be a nice quality of life if Sublime could register itself with the same URI schemes that GitHub use for its desktop GUI clients.
On GitHub, when you click clone, there’s a option to “open in desktop” which will open the GitHub client if it’s installed. Would be nice if Sublime Merge was also able to respond to these calls.

Just circling back on this old thread — it’s been a few years since the request for Sublime Merge to support URI scheme so it can handle “Open in Desktop” links.
Any movement on this? It’d be a killer feature to just click “Open in Desktop” and have Sublime Merge clone and open the repo directly, instead of manually doing it via command line or the app.
Would love to know if it’s still on the radar. Thanks!
