Regarding the price of Sublime Text 4

Previously when I used to Sublime Text 3, the licensing price was around $80, which I think I could afford it. But now as of Sublime Text 4 is released, the price is increased to $100, which is quite a lot of money to pay as a student here in India, as $100(₹7,453.86) which is quite costly to afford as a student. Is there any suggestion from the techinal support of Sublime Text regarding the licensing price.

Also, it’s a request not to increase the price of Sublime Text in every new release, as Sublime has a great user base, and is quite fast compared to other editors in the market, but the license price is something that is every student’s problem like me. Please help me regarding this.

Note that upgrading a ST3 license has different pricing: https://www.sublimehq.com/store/upgrade. Personally I evaluated ST while studying, only buying a license once I got a job to pay for it.

Yeah, that’s write only after I get a job, I could support Sublime Text by purchasing the license. But they should keep the price such as every one can afford it without thinking twice.

The price is for those that can afford it like developers for example. You know people with good paying jobs. Nobody expects a student without disposable income to buy a ST license.
