You can’t. If the files were really important, you should have saved them. Sorry, there is no other way or solution to this.

Sorry to have that happen to you. There’s a known bug on Windows that can trigger this if all the windows are closed while the update dialog remains open. There may be some older sessions from before the update in your data folder (see https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/revert.html).
