Recent Files OS X (Dragged into Application Icon)

I tend to drag lots of files to the application icon, which results in the editor opening them.
Alas, dragged files are not remembered in “Open Recent”

Agreed. Files opened from the command line (via open and via subl) aren’t remembered either.

They’re remembered, but confusingly, the list of recent files is maintained per-window, so closing the window will lose the list of recent files associated with that window. I realize this situation isn’t ideal.

Never noticed that. I rarely, if ever, reuse windows, so for me, it appeared that most things just weren’t registering.
