Quick add next word

What I’d like to see in some situations is a Cmd+L version for words, where each time you select cmd+LETTER you select the next word (or cluster of parenthesis, configurable)
Instead of moving vertically the selection moves horizontally, so to speak

yes, very similar, less granular, and if can somehow detect chunks of code like parenthesis as one token, etc.
