Putting prefs into folders

#1

Hey everyone!

I can put makros and snippets into folders, but I can’t seem to put prefs, menu files and keymaps into folders. Would be great, though, when having many custom files.

Best wishes,
Shu

Thanks for the reply! I’ll try again with menues and keymaps only; I put all of those (including prefs) into one folder; still is useful even if prefs themselves need to stay at root level.

Just to clarify, are you talking about the User package? If so, indeed sublime-settings files need to be in the root, but the other resources can go anywhere (although if your keymaps are not in the root of the package, the menu command won’t be able to find them to edit them; you can however open the manually via View Package File.

Thanks for the answer!
Yes, I am talking about Application Support/SublimeText/Packages/User/, having things set up like so:
Packages/User/Macros
Packages/User/Snippets
Packages/User/Themes
Packages/User/Prefs
Packages/User/Default (OSX).sublime-preferences
I guess I’ll just access keymaps via folder, since I already have Packages/User/ added to the project.

Also, @OdatNurd , great video on Youtube about ST’s Arithmetics! That’s very helpful!
