Hello,
I tried searching for the answer to my question, but I can’t seem to find it. I am using Sublime Text 3.1.1 on OS X (MacOS 10.13.5, but I’ve had this problem in multiple previous versions of OS X). I have Google Chrome open on my laptop screen, and Sublime Text open on an external screen. If Chrome has the focus (meaning it is the currently active application and will receive keystrokes when I start typing) and I right-click on a folder in the ST sidebar (for example, to do a search of a group of files), the Sublime Text application does not get the focus (OS X does not switch the active application to ST) even though I right-clicked on a folder and it showed me the right-click menu.
Very frequently I right-click on a folder in the ST sidebar to do a search, and when I start typing my search text, I discover that Chrome or whatever program I was last using is receiving my keystrokes, because ST does not have the focus when I clicked on the folder. I then have to manually go click on the search box in Sublime Text in order to switch the application focus. It seems like clicking on any feature in ST when it doesn’t have focus should force the app to gain the focus. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
Casey
