Mouse up from the bottom of the screen until your cursor changes to the “vertical split resize” cursor. Then drag a little bit upward. The panel will become visible. The exact bug and workaround is described here: https://github.com/equinusocio/material-theme#known-issues
Fundamentally, the problem is that some panels are not designed to fully respect the offsets and padding set by the theme when they size themselves, and the material theme sets much larger padding values than most themes.
No, I’m just referring to the fact that you have to use the mouse to resize the panel. The mouse cursor changes when you’re hovering over the UI element which may be dragged to do the resize.
