Plugin host error

Hello there.
Today after running ST 4.0 Build 4143 (Windows 10) I was getting error
error: plugin_host-3.8 has exited unexpectedly, some plugin functionality won’t be available until Sublime Text has been restarted

How to fix it? Many features are not available

Does it happen in safe mode?

No. And can’t run safe mode.

I don’t understand your answer. How do you know it doesn’t happen in safe mode if safe mode doesn’t run?

no reason why it doesn’t work

It’s likely an external program like an anti-virus is interfering with the plugin host. I’d suggest whitelisting/disabling them and seeing if that helps.

all my program files in whitelist A/V

Likely a Windows or AV update. Does it still crash with your AV disabled?

I added the exe directly. And disabled just in case Outline VPN and Wi-Fi adapter for sharing traffic for my smartphone and restarted the computer.
I didn’t get the error anymore.

Thanks for the help. I hope those who encounter the same error will be able to solve it with this method. I have seen many similar threads on the internet since ~2014
