Pink background after commas in json files

#1

ST had updated my install to a recent v4 version. I wanted to revert to v3. I uninstalled via ccleaner, and noticed there were still a number of folders in the AppData folders (Local and Roaming). I deleted these manually, then installed v3.

Now, when viewing json files (i.e. when viewing settings…), there is a pink background after the comma on each line. How can I fix this?

Thanks

My best guess is the view is not set to JSON syntax but something else.

For one we ship an uninstaller, there’s no reason to use an external tool for that. What’s in AppData is your user data, your settings, etc. which are shared between ST3 and ST4 (See https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/side_by_side.html). If you’ve partially deleted that there could be all sorts of things broken; you can try temporarily reverting to a freshly installed state.

I (had) deleted the contents of %APPDATA%\Sublime Text 3 and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Sublime Text 3, and problem still remained. I uninstalled ST3 and noticed there where still a number of files in the Program Files\Sublime Text directory. I deleted those as well. Then re-installed ST3. Now working as expected. Thanks for the suggestions.
