#1

Hi guys, I am really new to Sublime. Today i opened my Sublime and I’ve got this Error:
Error trying to parse settings: Unexpected trailing characters in: packages/user/HTML.sublime-settings:4:81

I’ve already uninstalled it and installed it back again, but it desn’t work. I know i have to find a wrong charater in the user settings file. But i cannot find it

this is in settings- syntax specific:

I could really use your help here :frowning:
thank you in advance

Open the file

%AppData%\Sublime Text 3\Packages\User\HTML.sublime-settings

with Sublime and look at line number 4, column number 81. There is an error there. Remove the error, and then save the file. Alternatively, just remove that HTML.sublime-settings file.

Just as a side note, %AppData%\Sublime Text 3\Packages is where Sublime Text keeps all of its packages. The User directory in there is reserved for you. When you uninstall Sublime Text, it doesn’t remove that Packages folder.

Rwols! Thank you very much, i tried correcting the file but it didn’t make sense, the 4th line in the file was only like 15 columns long, so i took it out of the folder and know there is no error. The problem is Sublime no longer recoginzes HTML as a language, do i need to install the extention?
