Opening the Command Palette does NOT select the previous text

The recent update (3156) made a change:

“Initial Command Palette text is no longer selected”

This seems less than ideal, every time i use the command palette, i assume that it is ready for use and begin typing. Now i end up with half of my last command and half of my new command.

Can we fix this? Please?

For a solution you can apply on build 3156. Futurely then should fix this regression on newer builds os Sublime Text.
