Open to MMD by default

Apologies for being a very newbie!

I’ve installed a number of the markdown packages, but would like to have ST3 open any new file to MultiMarkDown by default, rather than Plain Text.

How do I do this?

View>Syntax>Open all with current extension as> whatever.
