Open Recent opening in non-maximized Window

#1

Hi all

I have a problem with the commands “Open folder” and “Open recent” (with folders): They open a new Sublime Text 2 window (which is fine). The problem is, that the window is not maximized but instead goes lower than my taskbar, therfore not beeing 100% visible. I would like to open it maximized (or at least 100% within the visible desktop). Haven’t found such a setting and Sublime seems not to pick up my preference automatically. When I open Sublime Text 2 (a new instance, via Metro start menu), then Sublime is maximized.

Another issue with probably the same root cause I just discovered:

I have hidden the menu via “Hide Menu”. When I close and reopen Sublime Text 2, the menu remains hidden (as I want it). However, when I use open folder, open recent (folder) or new window, the new window is opened with menu again. It seems like sublime does not save any window preferences for those commands.

I’d also like to know how to force ST to open with window size maximized.

Opened an issue addressing this pain in the ass problem, on our issue tracker:

  1. #1448, Add the Open Maximized command line option
  2. #1449, Maximize/minimize window via api
