Is this possible? If I am in an existing (i.e., an already-saved) Project, I would like File > Open Recent to show only the files recently opened that are associated with that project. Can it be done?

Setting "recent_source": "window" makes the recent files use a window-specific list. This does apply to all windows, not just those with a saved project.

When was this setting added & what other options can it take ? I thought the recent list wasn’t configurable and it was permanently global.

We generally add undocumented settings when well known behavior changes are made - ie. when the recent file list was changed from per-window to global. That way if there’s large enough demand for it it’s already available.
